A quick word about rates...
Photography rates can vary greatly. Before you hire a photographer, consider these questions:
- Does the photographer carry liability insurance? What happens if expensive artwork or furniture is damaged; or even worse, if someone is injured on the property?
- Will you be provided with digital files that can be printed up to 8x12 inches without losing sharpness? What if you want to do a magazine cover?
- Will the photographer spend extra time staging each shot; moving furniture, placing flowers, lighting fireplaces, wetting down concrete, etc?
- Does the photographer understand Copyright and usage laws. You may have heard of photographers selling photographs of celebrity homes to tabloids. Usage issues should be agreed upon in writing before each shoot.
These are just a few of the things which effect photography rates. I hope this will help you make an informed decision.
